The 4-stage non-contact heating control is specially designed for divers and can be connected to battery packs and other voltage sources from 4 -16V DC. The diver control is activated by a so-called proximity sensor, which is switched by a magnet. The magnet is available in 2 versions, as:
- Magnetic anchor: Sea salt resistant, corrosion free V4A stainless steel, powerful neodymium magnet, base plate with approx. 21mm diameter and mounting bracket, can thus be attached to a retractor, for example.
- Magnetic ring: Strong neodymium magnet with approx. 10mm diameter is incorporated in the Velcro strap and can thus be worn on the finger or attached to the lamp
- The switch control comes in a small waterproof case and is pluggable with battery/voltage source and heater clothing/consumer. The low-profile housing design allows the control to be positioned anywhere under the suit, such as the chest or thigh. The connectable distance between the control and the magnets is between 20-50mm, regardless of which diving textiles are worn.
The mode of operation is as follows: The magnet is used to switch on the highest heating level or maximum 100% power. Another swipe with the magnet switches to the 2nd heating level down to 75% heating power, then to 50%, 25% and then to OFF. The strength of the switched heating power is indicated by a LED.
The proven diving depth of the diver control is 150 meters.
